Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions create a legally binding agreement between La Dolce Villa (the “Owner”) and the person(s) named on the booking form (the “Guest”). By submitting a booking request and paying the deposit, the Guest agrees to be bound by these terms.
1. Booking and Payment
Reservation: A booking is only confirmed when the Owner has received a 20% refundable deposit or the full amount if within 14 days of the check-in date.
Balance: The remaining balance of the rental fee is due 14 days prior to the check-in date.
Late Payment: If the balance is not received by the due date, the Owner reserves the right to cancel the booking and free up the dates for other guests.
Last-Minute Bookings: Bookings made within 14 days of arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.
2. Security/Damage Deposit
A security deposit of £150 is required.
This is fully refundable within 7 days after check-out, provided there are no deductions for:
Damage to the property or furnishings.
Excessive dirt or mess requiring deep cleaning.
Lost keys or remote controls.
The Guest agrees to pay for any damages that exceed the amount of the security deposit.
3. Cancellation Policy
- Guest Cancellation: All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
Owner Cancellation: If the Owner must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., fire, flood), the Guest will receive a full refund of all monies paid. The Owner is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the Guest (e.g., flights, car hire).
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that Guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and travel disruptions.
4. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in: After 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Check-out: By 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
Failure to depart by the designated time may result in additional charges to cover the cost of delayed cleaning crews.
5. Maximum Occupancy
The maximum number of guests is limited to 15 persons.
Only those listed on the booking form may occupy the property.
Overcrowding or unregistered guests are grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
6. House Rules
The Guest agrees to abide by the following rules:
Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside the villa. Smoking is permitted outside only; please use ashtrays.
Pets: Allowed with prior approval.
Events: Parties, weddings, and large gatherings are strictly prohibited.
Noise: Please respect the neighbors. Quiet hours are from [e.g., 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM]
Security: Guests must lock all windows and doors when leaving the property.
7. Maintenance and Access
The Guest must report any problems or damage to the Owner immediately.
The Owner or their agents reserve the right to enter the property to perform urgent repairs or inspection if necessary (usually with 24 hours’ notice, unless it is an emergency).
8. Liability and Disclaimer
The Owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities (e.g., swimming pool).
The Owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
Swimming Pool: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when using the pool area. There is no lifeguard on duty.
9. Force Majeure
The Owner accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Calabria, Italy.
